What’s Bad About The 2008 Aluminium MacBook

Depending on your preference for metal or plastic, the new aluminium MacBooks may or may not have killer looks to you. If you do love the sleek metal cosmetic improvement, here are other downsides you might like to consider as well.

1

Screen Too Glossy

I'm sure a handful of you like glossy screens. They really make colors pop. But for those who have no love for glossy screen, the aluminium MacBooks may be your worst nightmare. Source: MacInTouch
It's glossier than its predecessor, as well as the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. The reflective black bezel around the screen only makes things worse.

No FireWire

If you have no FireWire devices and have no plans to get one, you're fine. Otherwise, you better have your plastic MacBook around, which has one of these ports.
3

New Trackpad

What's new in the trackpad, other than its generous size, is that the whole trackpad is now clickable. Honestly, it's a good concept, but it might take some getting used to no matter which camp you come from: "Tap to Click" on, or off.
The regular consumers will probably welcome the MacBook Pro metallic styling at an affordable price. But powerusers requiring FireWire and a good display may be left disappointed.
